Savannah Flores has been racking up achievements this season for the San Bernardino Valley College women's cross country team.

The sophomore out of San Bernardino's Arroyo Valley High School finished second in the field at the season-opening meet at Ventura College. Then, she set an SBVC course record at Woodward Park, posting a fifth-place finish at the Crush Invitational with a time of 18 minutes, 43.72 seconds on the course that is used for the state championships.

And, on Saturday at the UC Riverside Invitational, she posted the fastest-ever time by an SBVC women's cross country runner in a 5-kilometer race.

Flores crossed the line at 18:20.7, good for 16th overall in the field of 300 runners, and third amongst runners from the 3C2A in the event.

Overall, all six of the runners from SBVC posted personal best times at the event. Callie Frias was the second runner from SBVC across the line, stopping the clock at 19:53.2. Brianna Orozco was next, with a time of 20:17.4, with Ashley Reyna not far behind at 20:31.0 and Priscilla De Leon clocking in at 20:37.8 in her first race of the season.

The work continues for the Wolverines, as they will compete the next three weekends, with races in Bakersfield, San Marcos, and San Diego on the schedule.
