September Athletes of the Month: Women's Soccer

Melanie Gonzalez, Freshman, Mt. San Jacinto College
Gonzalez has made an immediate impact for the Eagles women’s soccer team during the start of conference play. She delivered, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win, in the conference opener. Melanie is also a hardworking and dependable student-athlete who brings a positive attitude to training and continues to compete every day. She has shown a team-first mentality throughout the season and has remained committed through both the successes and challenges the team has faced.
Her work ethic, positive attitude, and team-first approach have made her a consistent presence throughout the season.
Isabella Landin, Sophomore, Chaffey College
Landin currently leads the Panthers with 4 goals, 2 assists, 1 game winner, for a total of 10 points. The sophomore from Canyon Springs High School also leads the conference with her 4 goals. She scored 3 of her 4 goals last month against Antelope Valley College, Ventura College, Norco College, and Mt. San Jacinto College where she also added 2 assists.
